With Milestone activities, gain confidence using speech alone in simulated situations.

Retain what you learn.
The unique Adaptive Recall reinforces language so it sticks with you in the real world.
Customer Review: Very Simple to Use
Rosetta Stone is very simple to use. However having a Spanish book, or obviously a native speaker to supplement the software would make it much more effective. This is because of being tossed directly into the language without a clear translation leaves the door open for some confusion. Overall a great interactive product that is a strong foundation to start learning a new langauge.
Customer Review: YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS
You cannot legally sell this software when you are done with it. They threatened to sue me when I did - they said I had not bought the software, but a license for the software and it was nontransferrable - that I did not have the right to even GIVE it away.

Spring cleaning is over, and you're staring at seven crates of rare vinyl records that your parents had stuffed in a corner of your basement for the last 15 years. Forgotten memories? Or potential goldmine? The value of records is increasing, much like the sales, and record dealers and enthusiasts alike are looking to grade and price their collections for reselling on the market, eBay being the largest marketplace at this moment in time.

If you own collectible or rare vinyl records, it would be in your best interest to have those records appraised to determine their worth. The most common way of discovering the value would be to seek the services of a professional records appraiser, who will analyze the condition, rarity, and playability of the record. As well, they will take a look at other aspects such as:

  • The release date - The older the record, the more it could be worth.
  • Whether the record is sealed or not - If it hasn't been played, the value will increase.
  • Limited release records also hold increased value - e.g. only 1000 copies pressed.

If you happen to have several crates of old LP's and 45's that you are interested in getting appraised, it could wind up to be fairly expensive especially if you have limited knowledge of how records are graded. My suggestion would be to purchase a vinyl records price guide which lists the current market price and requirements for buying and selling rare vinyl LP's. I have used Tim Neely's Goldmine Record Album Price Guide for quite a few years, and it is by far the most comprehensive and easy to navigate price guide on the market today.

Cover Art is also a factor to consider when looking to buy or sell rare vinyl records. During the 60's and 70's many celebrity artists collaborated with musicians and bands they respected in the form of cover art and inner sleeves, Andy Warhol being one of the more popular. Don't forget that any artwork with nudity seems to be popular amongst buyers just the same! Remember, vinyl outsold CD's in 2007 for the first time in many, many years and this is a great time to get into collecting records and begin experiencing the warmth and quality that they bring. If you download an mp3 you're given a thin-sounding, compressed audio file with a digital image thumbnail of the album cover and artwork. With vinyl records you get an experience that is truly one of a kind, and there is no feeling quite like it!

Suzanne Marie Mahoney was born in San Bruno, California, on 16 October 1946; she is one of four children. In 1986, she wrote an autobiography entitled Keeping Secrets, in which detailed the physical abuse she suffered at the hands of her father as a child, which was later made into a TV movie.

As a child she was diagnosed as having dyslexia and was considered a poor academic student. She did, however, perform well in the theater program at the school, eventually, attending college with a music scholarship.

Unfortunately, after a short time at college, she became pregnant and married her boyfriend Bruce Somers, the marriage ended in 1967 after two years. As a single mother trying to make ends meet Suzanne used her looks to take up modeling, she was quickly snapped up by a game show hosted by Alan Hamel, who later became her second husband.

During the early 70s, she found minor roles in TV shows and movies. Eventually, winning the role that would make her a star, as the bubbly blond Chrissy on the hit TV comedy show Three's Company opposite John Ritter. She has stated in the past that the character was based on the wife of famous entertainer, Dick Clark.

She starred in the show for four seasons, then was apparently 'let go' after asking for a raise. During the early 80s she performed on stage in Las Vegas. She later took the role of Carol Foster, this time, playing opposite Patrick Duffy in the TV series Step by Step. She later went on to host the long-running Candid Camera.

At the beginning of the 90s, he became famous as the scantily clad Thigh Master workout girl in a series of well remembered commercials for the leg exerciser.

Since then, she has gone to more serious work, founding the Suzanne Somers Institute for the Effects of Addictions on the Family. She also, she appeared before the U.S. Senate Committee who at the time were planning legislation regarding addiction and family abuse.

She went on to give lectures on the subject, all over the United States. In addition, was given a Humanitarian Award from the National Counsel on Alcoholism, she is also won the prestigious President's Award from the National Association of American Drug Counselors. As well as several other commendations for her work.

Here are some interesting facts about Suzanne's life, she reached cult status, playing the mysterious blonde driving a Thunderbird, and being pursued by Richard Dreyfuss in the 1972 cult phenomena American Graffiti.

Because of her dyslexia, she had to paint one shoe red to be able to learn dance numbers for her Vegas show. After originally winning the role of Jill Munroe in "Charlie's Angels", she was replaced before shooting began, by Farrah Fawcett.

After losing the role, she hired, Farrah's manager to do for her what he had done a Farrah. In 2001 while being interviewed on the hit show Larry King Live, she announced that she was suffering from breast cancer.

In the opening credits for "Three's Company", the brunette walking along the beach is Suzanne wearing a wig. In 1986, she became Las Vegas, female entertainer of the year.

She and Joyce DeWitt did not speak for 20 years after the end of Three's Company. She was not the first actors hired play Chrissy; she was in fact, the fourth, women, given the role.

Suzann currently promotes her own line of diet and other products with her husband Alan Hamel.

Ageless-Diva.com provides a full range of official Suzanne Somers products, such as the FaceMaster, the ThighMaster, SomerSweet and Spray On MakeUp.

Coldplay - Live 2003 (DVD & CD)

The two-disc set includes a 90-minute, nine-camera, super 16 live shoot taken from their July 21 and 22, 2003 performances at the Horden Pavilion in Sydney, Australia, as well as band commentary, a never before broadcast behind-the-scenes documentary, a special tour diary and the edited audio CD. The DVD and CD will also include two PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED live tracks- "The One I Love" and "Moses."
Customer Review: The best concert I never went to!!
I got the Coldplay 2003 DVD as a birthday present in '04. Coldplay's my favorite band, so you can imagine my excitement. Back in the days, I never thought I could ever be in a real concert of the band, I lived too far away from any place they toured. Almost four years later, I still think the DVD was the best concert in my life. That is, taking into consideration that I went to see them, against all odds, in NYC in 2006. It's not that the concert was bad, it was one of the best days in my life. It's that to me, the DVD is so good that I can't get enough of it. The band plays perfectly, the connection with the crowd is real, the choice of songs is fantastic, the sound is epic, the transitions that go along with songs, including colors, angles and views of the crowd and the band are nothing but exciting and bright. If there's any DVD I would ever recommend, it's this one. It's the closest you'll come to live the Coldplay experience if you haven't got the chance to live it already.
Customer Review: Wow. That's all I have to say.
Not only is the music CD great, but the DVD packs quite the punch. The only tiny thing that bugged me was how the CD didn't have every song off of the DVD, but I guess that's what makes the DVD that much better. If you like Coldplay, but this DVD, you will not regret it. Best $20 musical purchase I've made in a long time.

If ever there were two things made for each other, it would have to be New Age piano music and nature sounds. After all, New Age piano gets much of its inspiration from the natural world. There are many CDs available that have this classic combination. Let's look at a few of them.

1. Forest Piano by John Herberman

This CD is in my opinion the best New Age piano CD one can buy. And it has nature sounds too! John Herberman is a very talented pianist/composer who's music seeps into your stressed out psyche and gently massages you. Each piece is a unique composition. Sometimes melodic, sometimes textural, but always beautiful. You'll wear your CD player out with this one.

2. Piano Cascades by John Herberman

OK. I'm a big fan of this mans music. I admit it. In fact, the minute I heard this CD in a Images of Nature store I had to have it. So delicate and beautiful is this music that you'll think you're actually in the middle of a waterfall. The nature sounds, supplied by Dan Gibson are first rate and do not overwhelm the music. In fact, both piano and nature sounds blend together into one magnificent whole creating a fresh ambiance that will revive and cleanse your spirit.

3. San Juan Suite by Michael Gettel

San Juan is an island off the coast of Oregon where the mighty Orca whale is known to live. Michael gets his inspiration from the natural beauty of the area and, of course, this black and white whale. The music is superb with nature sounds interspersed here and there for effect. The music gets first dibs here with the nature sounds delicately placed in just the right places.

If you love nature and music, you will love these CDs. You can find them at Amazon.com.

Edward Weiss is a pianist/composer and webmaster of Quiescence Music's online piano lessons. He has been helping students learn how to play piano in the New Age style for over 14 years and works with students in private, in groups, and now over the internet. Rachel Latin Love (White Bikini, Close-Up) Framed Art Poster Print - 16" X 20"

This poster shows a close-up of Rachel Latin Love in a white bikini. This framed poster measures approx. 16" x 20" A bikini or two-piece is a type of women's swimsuit, characterized by two separate parts, leaving an uncovered area between the two garments. Two-piece garments worn by women for athletic purposes have been observed on Greek urns and paintings, dated as early as 1400 BC. Female athletes who play beach volleyball professionally are required to wear two-pieces.

We are living in a world that runs on high speed 24 hours a day 7 days a week. In order to keep up, we have to be smart in planning our time and scheduling the things that are really important. Unfortunately for moms, we tend to put ourselves last, thinking that once everything else gets done, we can have some time for ourselves. We are lucky if this happens once in a while. We all know how important it is to exercise and maintain good health, we have heard the lectures about how we are more healthy, better parents when we choose to exercise and how we will live longer and be around to enjoy our children. So here are some tips to help you fit exercise into your busy life.

Tip #1 Always be prepared

Have a bag with your gym clothes and anything else you need to workout on hand. Keep it in the trunk of your car, if you have some extra time at work, you can take a walk, or if you get off early you can stop by the gym on the way home. Always having what you need on hand, takes away that excuse.

Tip #2 Think ahead

If you chose one day of the week and cook several meals ahead of time, you will not only have extra time to take a walk with your kids, it will eliminate the fast food drive through stop if you have had an especially crazy day.

Tip #3 Dance Dance Dance

Put in your favorite music and call the kids in to dance with you. There are games that incorporate dance, like Twister Moves, or you can just freestyle. This is great quality time that you can spend with your kids, encouraging their creativity and teaching them that it can be fun to move.

Tip # 4 Make an Appointment

Set an alarm for when it is time to exercise, when it goes off, stop what you are doing and take some time to move. I want to say let your kids know this is mommies time to exercise, but when you have really little ones it can be hard. Do the best you can to keep the commitment you make to yourself, to take care of yourself and you will feel better in many ways.

Tip #5 Have a family activity night

There are many family traditions when a family eats together. Break the mold and create traditions where your family moves together. Take a walk after dinner, when it is warm enough outside. See how many different trees you can find or how many types of butterflies you can spot. When I walk with my kids, they go to bed better and they really love the time we spend outside. There are many other activities you can do as a family. Have a family meeting and brainstorm things that your family would love to do together.

These are some easy ways that you can find time to exercise. Remember that you are setting an example for your children, not only that it is important to exercise but that they need to take time to take care of themselves, this is a lesson that will serve them well in life.

Over 90% of diets fail. Don't be another statistic! You can have the body you always dreamed of!

Let me show you howFinding Time for Exercise

Customer Review: Fantastic
This DVD along with Live and Off the Record are simply fantastic. Shakira is the whole package from the voice of an Angel to a body...well, that's out of this world!! How could you not love this goddess!!!!!
Customer Review: Bought it for the price. Ended up liking it.
It was available for less than fifteen so I picked it up. I liked Shakira's first major Spanish album before her international success. I hadn't really listened to her newer stuff. When I put it in I was pleasantly surprised. The visuals are great and the sound is even better. To be honest I do skip a few songs whenever I watch it but I still consider it a good purchase for the price.

I've been around horses for the better part of 25 years. I've had my share of mishaps, and every one of them was my fault. I've never had a horse intentionally hurt me, throw me, bite me, or try to fool me. Horses just don't lie. It's one of my favorite things about them. They are as honest and authentic as we could ever hope to be. They are the epitome of "what you see is what you get". In short, horses are just horses and they never pretend (or attempt) to be anything else.

Horses are very intuitive animals. They rely on their instincts/intuition to keep themselves safe. They have an uncanny ability to identify emotions, even when you're doing your best to hide them. I can't tell you the number of times I was in a bad mood and tried to get near my horse, only to have him walk away from me every time I got close. I'd put on my happy face and use my happy voice but it didn't matter. That horse would avoid me like the plague UNTIL I just allowed myself to feel whatever I was feeling. The moment I'd stop trying to mask an emotion, he'd come right up to me and give me his usual nuzzle, as if to say, "See? That's all you had to do. Just BE how you feel. It's really okay with me." I swear, it's the craziest thing, but my horse always knows when I'm faking it.

Now, there are a couple of things about the care and handling of horses that are always under dispute. But, in my experience I've found that the best way to get a horse to do what you want is to ASK. The whole idea that you can beat a horse into submission is about as barbaric (to me) as taking a branding iron to a child who is misbehaving. You wouldn't do that would you? So why in the world would you try to force such an intelligent, intuitive creature into submission? Here's the thing: horses want to make you happy. It's true, I swear it. But there is an agreement that must be honored. That agreement is we get to ride on their backs and use their power to facilitate our needs and we must honor them for what they are. That includes listening to them and caring for them and showing some respect. It's got to be a mutual thing or it just won't work.

One last thing before we get to the little 'summary'. Horses and people don't view time in the same way. What I mean is, let's say you are trying to teach the horse to load into a trailer. The horse isn't having it. You have to be somewhere in 30 minutes and the horse won't budge. So you might try all sorts of ugly things to get that horse to load. And the horse is still not having it. There is really only one solution. You are the one who's trying to beat the clock, so you need to rearrange your schedule. Because as sure as the sun rises in the Eastern sky, that horse isn't going to load until it's good and ready. The time issue is YOUR problem, not his. And he couldn't care less about your appointment. So, don't force the issue. It'll turn into an ongoing nightmare every single time you try to load that horse into a trailer. The best way to get a horse to do something is to make it so he WANTS to do it. (But that's for another day). In short, don't expect that your definition of 'timely' is the same as your horse's. It isn't.

How does all this apply to my business? Well, it's pretty simple really. To recap:

1. Be who you are. Don't pretend to be anyone else. While you may not please all the people all the time, authenticity goes a long, long way in terms of the Big Picture. People, like animals, know when you're being real. So, be real.

2. Don't fake it. Feel what you feel and let yourself go through those emotions. This does NOT mean that you can treat people badly. What it does mean is that if you paste a smile on your face that you're not feeling, it's as easy to spot as plastic vampire teeth on Halloween. Never underestimate another person's intuition.

3. Always ask for the sale/business/etc. Don't think that just because you're in front of someone they're going to know what you want. Treat them with respect. Respect their ability to make choices. Honor their perspectives. Listen to what they're saying. It's all about communication.

4. Throw away your expectations of timeliness when dealing with your customers. Your definition of "soon" and theirs may be totally inharmonious. You can certainly ask for a commitment, but you must respect their time line too. Make it clear if you're on a deadline so they can take advantage of whatever it is you're offering. But always remember that we all 'dance to a different beat' and that beat may be completely different than yours. Think Waltz versus Rumba!

One more thing: next time you think it's everyone else who's messing up and ruining your day (business or otherwise) take a moment to look in the mirror. I'd be willing to bet that 9 times out of 10, it's the reflection you'll see that's causing the discord. Take responsibility for your life, your business and your future. Once you've done that, the rest is easy to figure out.

To your success~~~in all areas of your life!

Fix You (Piano Vocal, Sheet Music)

FIX YOUSeries: Piano VocalArtist: ColdplaySheet music.

Origin:

Salsa is often used to refer to Cuban genres such as Cha-Cha and Mambo. Salsa developed as an independent genre in the 70s although the music was already played and danced to for a few decades. Although Salsa originated in Cuba, it has recently moved across continents and is currently getting a new form in American Clubs with the NY and LA styles being developed. Both NY and LA styles are Linear styles, whereas Cuban Salsa refers to it's original circular form.

Music:

Salsa music is played in 4/4 with beats 4 and 8 representing a pause and the other beats representing steps. Claves, Congo or the tin drum are often used to mark the main beats of the music. The music is quite similar to Mambo.

Dance:

Salsa has a 4/4 rythm. The 4th and 8th beats are used to pause or tap. Women tend to subtly kick in the air instead of tapping. Like most forms of dance, the men lead with their hands, although Cuban Salsa has a very relaxed frame. Shoulders are often moved while dancing, the most common move being a "Shimmy"! The body is also slight bent while dancing and is lower to the ground with bent knees.

Latinos NZ Popularity Scale: 10/10

Salsa is definitely the crowd pleaser at Latin Clubs in New Zealand, with the Cuban style being much more popular to the Linear Style. In the recent months, the Latin dance scene in New Zealand has exploded with extremely fast growth and new clubs popping up around the major cities. Almost all this growth has been in the number of Salsa dancers.

Joseph Arthur Live At the Gypsy Tea Room

Recorded on tour in support of the brilliant studio recording, Come To Where I'm From, Live At The Gypsy Tea Room presents a sonic glimpse of the amazing multi-layered richness of a Joseph Arthur solo performance.Ten-minute versions of "Big City Secrets" and "Prison" show Arthur building, via tape loops recorded on the spot, a continuous musical bed of processed beats, guitar and vocals, over which he can play and sing the melodies of his darkly introspective songs. The sparse arrangements, however, of "Exhausted" and "In The Sun" performed here with only raw voice and guitar prove that the power of Arthur's performance does not rely on technology alone, but is founded on penetrating lyrics sung with wracked emotional intensity.Contents: 1) History 2) Big City Secrets 3) Exhausted 4) Invisible Hands 5) I Donated Myself To The Mexican Army 6) In The Scan 7) Prison

Starting new things for your child sometime difficult, but you still have to do it. Potty training is one phase that your child has to go through. So, find out when is your child ready for potty training. Here are those five ready signs:

1. Takes Off Own Clothes

Lets face it. The first step to becoming dry begins with your toddlers ability to recognize he has to go to the bathroom. The second step is his ability to pull down his pants, or lift up her dress. The third step is actually going to use the potty. If your child begins insisting on taking off his clothes then he probably is ready to begin training for the potty.

2. Talks about Using the Potty

He may say, I want to use the potty. Or, he may just point to it and sit down. Either case he is showing an extreme interest in the little chair. Well, what do you do if hes interested in sitting; maybe hell be interested in using it. You never know unless you try. Hey diapers are expensive why spend more on them if you dont have to.

3. Does a Potty Dance?

There are some children doing potty dance? Does your little one have a routine? Does he stomp, turn, twist, and grab his groin like Michael Jackson? If he does, then thats his potty dance. Hes ready, ready, and ready if he has his own version and he dances it whether theres music on or not.

4. Shows an Interest in the Bathroom or Toilet

This is the big koruna of all ready signs. The big earthquake so to speak. If your child is curious about the bathroom or toilet, then hes ready to learn how to use it. Is he curious about how it flushes? Well, thats because he wants to know how that giant white chair works. Why does it make that sound? Its a noise like no other. Hes not being bad when you have to drag him out of the toilet. He wants to know what the toilet is. He wants to know how it works. He is ready, ready, and ready for potty training.

5. Stays Dry Overnight & During Naps

This is a hard readiness sign to understand. If you child staying dry overnights and at naptime that is the sign that he is ready for potty training. In any event, your child is ready if he displays this sign.

Now, does your child exhibit any two of these ready signs? If so, then get ready to do your potty training. You will never know those signs if you are not pay attention to their reaction.

Customer Review: Fantastic energy!
Simple awesome movie and I was really enthralled by the charisma, the energy of the lead actor. The movie as such is similar to many 80's dance movies but being a Salsa dancer I enjoyed this one so much more. I now keep it in my laptop and watch the opening scene every time I need some positive feel or want to get into the mood of hitting the dance floors. Highly recommended to the Salseros.
Customer Review: Don't Waste Your Money
I bought this because my teenage son and his girlfriend loved Take The Lead and were interested in learning more about latin dancing. The dancing is marginal but the dialogue and acting are TERRIBLE! We couldn't watch it after the first 20 minutes - even the teenagers who, quite frankly, are not the best judges of acting!

I watch "Cold Case" on CBS regularly even though I admit I hate the shows Detective Squad as well as how each case is solved by an unnecessary confession from the killer and then the victim's ghost appears like in a music video, the end. No, I'm not on crack!

The thing I hate most about "Cold Case" is the detectives attitudes. They think they have the right to go gangbusters and accuse every person they interview of being the Anti-Christ. These suspects in turn say they didn't do it and like musical chairs turn the arrogant detectives onto another person to smirk at and be nasty too.

At the end of each episode, without any real solid evidence that would actually get the murderer tried in court or convicted, the killer who has concealed his "perfect crime" for like forever, suddenly decides without a lawyer present, to confess. Magically, the victim's ghost then appears in a trance like kind of music video to swirling or slow dancing music. The end.

I realize "Cold Case" is supposed to be dramatic entertainment for which writers take dramatic liberties to fit the show in an hour format but its a lot easier for me to suspend belief for a show like "Prison Break" then "Cold Case". "Cold Case" tries to present itself in a somber realistic manner but there are a lot of people watching who say, Bogus Man!

If I had my way, as payback to the detectives, I'd do a sequel to a previous episode where it now turns out that the detectives, pressured "the obvious killer" to give a false confession and he's found innocent in Court and truly never did the crime. It would make a great season finale and give the detectives pause for thought on their methods. To top it off, you could have the Ghost of the victim then appearing when the killer is found innocent, finger scolding the detectives to the music of "Ride Your Pony" and see the innocent non-killer smiling with a big grin. The End.

Stem Cell Symphony: A Novel

Stuart Matheson, 32, is trapped in a nursing home as well as his body, eerily immobile at the last stage of Huntington's Disease. Kelsey Raye is a science writer feeling guilty about the recent deaths of her parents. She volunteers for hospice and is assigned to Stuart. She's a PhD, he never finished school, but they share a love of rock music and disdain of religion. They instantly bond.

As Kelsey plays her iPod daily for Stuart, he improves - an impossibility - and when she misses a few days, he backslides. She deduces that Stuart's gains follow hearing U2 or their imitators. Kelsey, who writes about stem cells, thinks the frequency of the arpeggios is turning on stem cells in Stuart's brain. She shares her idea with researcher Peter Holloway, but evil Nurse Smithies overhears and outs them to a tabloid. Meanwhile, Peter scans Stuart's brain. He's getting better!

All hell breaks loose when the tabloid hits. The government shuts down Peter's lab and confiscates Kelsey's iPod, while anti-stem cell protestors harass them -- just as Peter discovers how music stimulates stem cells. Then something unexpected happens. Did science fail, or was it the anti-science forces?

The underlying love story and comical cast of characters propel this parallel tale of emerging spirituality and an evolving medical technology. Many of the characters and scenes are based on real people, and the science dead-on accurate - with the one tweak of the music turning on stem cells.

It could happen.
Customer Review: Entertaining, informative, and inspiring
It's very refreshing to read a novel that is so well grounded in science and real life. This book has all the fictional elements of a great novel, yet you learn some things about science along the way through the book. I particularly liked the section on Congressional testimony. And I can personally relate to some of the nursing home scenes. Great job!
Customer Review: A good read AND informative!
Ricki Lewis' novel is the story of a young science writer who, as a hospice volunteer, finds herself inexplicably helping a patient with an incurable disease. It is current both in terms of discussing the science of the stem cell technology we hear so much about these days, but also in its musical references, like U2 and Coldplay (two artists included in a recent planetarium show I visited in the Rose Space Center in NYC.) There is a love interest with a twist, and I found myself gripped by the unknowns presented in the thickening plots. The cast of characters was eccentric but believable. Their actions felt so real sometimes, I found myself wondering if portions of the story were based on real events. What I perhaps liked the best was that the uplifting ending suggested that the miracle of art (in this case music) can inexplicably have a profound scientific effect on our bodies in ways we have perhaps not yet discovered. If there are not medical researchers out there testing out Dr. Lewis' "novel" hypotheses- there should be! I found myself learning about science while enjoying the story. This was a good read- I highly suggest it!

The more artistically minded might consider arts and crafts, clowning, drama, photography, or dance to be important elements of having a well-rounded camp experience. Camps often focus on specialties that include: adventure, art, computer, dance, music, religion, horse riding, sports, theatre, and many others. The variety of camps available today is almost innumerable, meaning there will be some specialized camps that may have availability left even into the summer.

An overnight summer camp is a supervised program for children and teens conducted during the summer months in most countries; children and teens, called campers, who attend camp, participate in a variety of activities, many of which are special interest. There are overnight summer camps with a focus on self-improvement, weight loss and grief counseling. Basically, if you can think of any subject of interest, there's probably a camp that specializes in it.

The camp you choose for your child will provide a lifetime of good memories and will be truly rewarding. Special needs camps meet the needs of a wide range of children with disabilities; these camps provide an outdoor summer camp experience along with a therapeutic environment. There are overnight summer camps that are co-ed camps, boy's camps, girl's camps or brother-sister camps where boys and girls may have separate venues and activities.

Specialty overnight camps can range from $500 to $1000 per week depending on the program. Try to determine whether the director incorporates a similar philosophy to running the camp as you do in parenting your child or children. Four weeks at a good private overnight summer camp or sleepaway camp will cost anywhere from $3500 to $6500, and eight weeks will range from $4000 to $7000.

There are many types of overnight summer camps with a focus on education that cater to students with differing ages and academic interests. Get to know the camp director from an in-person visit to your home if possible, phone conversations, email or other correspondence. The reputation of an overnight summer camp can also be determined by asking what percentage of counselors returned from the previous year.

Children will get more individual attention and supervision with a lower number of campers per counselor. Do you think, if you have more than one child, they would they benefit from attending the same summer camp together? Consider these industry-recommended guidelines - for smaller children ages 7 and 8, there should be one counselor for every six campers; by age 15, there should be one counselor for every 10 campers.

The best overnight summer sports camps do much more than just improve a camper's soccer, tennis, lacrosse, or wrestling skills - they help each child become a more skillful athlete, a more gracious competitor, a more committed team player, and a more confident person. At camp would it benefit your child more if he or she interacted more with the opposite gender? Children or teens could typically explore subjects new to them like marine science, photography, creative writing, community service, drama, magic, scuba diving, video production, comic book design, crime scene forensics, cooking, yoga, rappelling, etc.

If you think there's a possibility you might have to cancel an overnight summer camp reservation, camper's insurance would be a good idea. If you find a traditional overnight summer camp or sleepaway camp that's not the right fit, or an expense that isn't possible at this place in time, rest assured that there are other options that can keep your child occupied throughout the summer. If you think your child may not be ready for a sleepaway or overnight summer camp, choose a local camp in case you end up having to make a late night pickup in the event he or she gets homesick. Choosing a camp close to home will save a lot of money on airfare and possible hotel or motel overnight stays for a parent, or other transportation costs; this is especially true if your child might get a case of homesickness and want to come home early from the overnight summer camp.

For more information on choosing the best overnight summer camp and finding the best sleepaway or overnight summer camp online and offline go to http://www.OvernightSummerCamp.biz a nurse's website specializing in overnight summer camp tips, help, facts, free tuition resources, including information on overnight summer camp reviews

This is a great sweatshirt. Great gift. All TopExpressions products are made under strict quality controls. 100% cotton, weight aprox 25oz.

What in the world would you and I do if there was no such thing as music?

Can you imagine a world without music? No songs, no tunes, no rock, no roll, no jazz, no hymns, no boogie-woogie, no country-western, no symphonies. No singing in the shower. No whistling Dixie.

Lovers wouldnt have songs to romance to. There would be no such thing as our song. Sinatra couldnt fly to the moon. Elvis couldnt complain about people stepping on his blue suede shoes. Tony Bennett would have to write a letter about how he left his heart in San Francisco. Willie might go on the road again, but without a guitar. And Ray Charles would look pretty strange up on stage without a piano telling us that Georgia is on his mind.

Then when the wedding day arrived, what would the bride march down the isle to? A poem? Silence? Applause? And when the happy couple marched out of the church together, would they do it to the bark of neighborhood dogs, or perhaps all the wedding guests talking at once?

And at the reception, what would they dance to? The Funky Chicken just isnt the same without music. Since rhythm is part of music, no drums would even be allowed.

And the honeymoon I suppose would take place with radio news on, or perhaps the educational channel accompanied by the drone of an air-conditioner.

When baby arrives, do we lull her to sleep with a reading from Shakespeare? Or perhaps random readings from the dictionary or encyclopedia? Could we bore her to sleep with words?

Nursery rhymes would have to be chanted or recited instead of sung. School music programs would of course be non-existent, as would school choirs and orchestras and bands. When the school football team plays, there would be no school fight song. Cheerleaders would have to cheer and dance minus any music.

And when those birthdays roll around, we would have to all recite together in a monotone happy birthday to you.

And when duty calls, what would soldiers march to? What would take the place of music in parades, since there would be no marching bands? John Philip Sousa would have had to get a day job.

And on the 4th of July there would be no patriotic songs just speeches. At Christmas time there would be no Christmas carols. No rousing gospel music at Easter, no hymns in church.

And can you imagine radio without music? Nothing but news and talk shows and bla bla bla bla.

I dont know about you, but Ive had it up to here just thinking about it. Im heading for the piano now to celebrate the fact that our Creator gave us the wonderful and inspiring and uplifting gift of music that we all take for granted.

I think Ill play a nursery rhyme or two, then the wedding march, then Silent Night, then Auld Lang Syne, then Fur Elise, then the blues, then a little jazz, then and then...

God Put a Smile Upon Your Face

For waaaay too long, plus size women were completely overlooked as a viable market for lingerie manufacturers. Sexy AND plus size bridal lingerie? No such product existed. What were they thinking? Never mind, I know what they were thinking, and so do you. I just wish I knew who to thank since now plus size brides can be seen as the sexy goddesses they are.

I'm thrilled for all the current and future plus size brides who can wear sexy lingerie on their honeymoon, but I have to admit I can't help but be a little bitter that it came far too late to benefit me. But the good news is, it's not too late for you!

In decades past, the hardest thing about plus size lingerie was finding any. There are now so many choices in sexy, exotic and erotic plus size bridal lingerie, the hardest part is limiting your selections to what your budget will allow! Just don't be fooled by those "one size fits all" labels. They lie.

The second best thing that's come along for plus size women is the good ol' Internet. By expanding our shopping choices to global-wide, we're able to find a wide variety of plus size clothes, including sexy plus size bridal lingerie.

Your bridal lingerie consists of not only what you'll wear on the honeymoon, but also what you'll wear beneath your wedding gown on the day of the wedding. For your wedding day lingerie you may want to choose comfort over style. You don't want to go through the whole wedding feeling pinched or uncomfortable. You might consider a lacy camisole with a garter belt and stockings for a touch of style without having to give up comfort.

You'll probably want to purchase your wedding day lingerie well in advance so you can see how they feel under your wedding dress. Be sure your bra is supportive and comfortable, and allows for freedom of movement. (Remember you'll be dancing and hugging and throwing the bouquet!)

Your choices online for sexy plus size bridal lingerie are virtually endless. Do you want elegant and demure? What about something racy? How about downright sexy and hot? Or maybe you feel a little naughty and nasty? You can be anything you want to be, and you can find sexy plus size lingerie to fit every occasion with a quick Google search.

Popular items in sexy plus size bridal lingerie include Rumba panties with a matching lacy chemise, lace body stockings and perhaps the most favorite, the baby doll. Many baby dolls come with a built-in bra to shape and support and the saucy little skirt gently flows around mid thigh. A scoop neck or V-neckline adds to the appeal, as do layers of feathers or ruffles. Plus size women look great in baby dolls.

Whatever your mood, whatever your desire, and finally at last, whatever your size - you can find sexy, seductive plus size bridal lingerie. And you can find it online, where you can browse to your heart's content in the comfort of your own home. Many brides do almost all their wedding shopping online and their numbers are rising every year.

The most important thing in choosing sexy plus size bridal lingerie is that you feel good about what you're wearing. You look even better to him when you're pleased with yourself and feel comfortable and happy with the way you look.

In addition to new and used plus size wedding dresses Curvy Brides offers plus size brides a wide variety of sexy lingerie for their wedding, honeymoon and beyond. If you're looking for silky and seductive plus size lingerie, or feeling a bit naughty and want to release the curvaceous temptress inside you, Curvy Brides is your own personal catalog for sexy plus size bridal lingerie as well as many of your other wedding needs. Come browse all the plus size wedding pretties at Curvy Brides, created by a plus size bride especially for plus size brides.

PARACHUTES (VINYL)

Their Eagerly Awaited Debut Full Length. Garnered Rave Reviews on their Nme Tour with Shack, Gomez and Bellatrix. Often Compared to Radiohead and Jeff Buckley.
Customer Review: Baa Baa Baa
They can play their instruments - about as inventively as 14 year olds, picking up a guitar for the first time. They do write their own songs - in that tired old vein of British pop, everything's the same. The singing is a joke - why do the sheep take that whole falsetto bull**** so seriously? If you buy this - you're over 20 and slowly your braincells are crumbling, soon you'll spend every Sunday shopping with your partner, drink half a bottle of wine a night, you'll tut at children with any hint of life, you'll begin to get indignant about manners, you'll find Terry Wogan funny ... and then you'll die, having only ever listened to mid-tempo soft rock.
Customer Review: GREAT ALBUM
This CD is moody. If you want really uplifting music, this isn't the best album to pick up. The musical talent displayed in this CD is amazing. They have great guitarists, an amazing drummer, especially on the track Trouble, and great vocals and piano, both done by Martin. Great CD.

Friday Night, Week Before Christmas, 1999

This night I arrived a little before the crowd, just minutes before the tables with stools near the small dance floor were taken. Harvelle's, a popular Santa Monica night spot which draws an upscale crowd, is known as "The Home of the Blues, R&B, Funk, and Rock" with live music and dancing every night. With its no-smoking environment and sounds for both the ears and the feet, it is a pleasant place to spend an evening. I go for the listening and the dancing.

After enjoying a dance with a young man, I wove my way back through newly arrived patrons to my carefully chosen seat. After a sip of my Pellegrino, I felt compelled to return to the edge of the dance floor. My rational thought was to take my turn with one of the regulars, John, a trained dancer who arrived some twenty minutes earlier. I noticed him and a man I had not seen before -- both the same vintage, about 50, and the same height, about 5'8", but John as light as and the unknown man as heavy as that frame can hold.

John changed partners on the dance floor, so I made eye contact with this other man who, like John, had been dancing with a variety of partners since his arrival. We danced and exchanged pleasantries. We laughed. We smiled. I noticed that his flesh tone was similar to mine, light and peachy; his eyes as intense as my own blue eyes, but brown. It was obvious that he loved to dance. He led adeptly; I followed easily. In the middle of our dance, he commented, "You'll probably need to take your jacket off because you'll get warm." I smiled, knowing that likely I would very soon peel it off, but for the time being the fan above the dance floor was keeping me cool.

At the end of the dance, I turned toward the band to acknowledge the musicians with my applause. When I turned my focus back to my partner, I saw that he was no longer standing beside me, but was face down on the floor. The other dancers and I assumed he was joking. But not so. The band stopped. Time stopped. This time held all eternity -- a time that can be long or short by the clock. Someone called for help while six of us (including staff, John, and a patron who is a registered nurse) said encouraging words and touched him. I allowed others to attend to him on a physical basis, and focused my attention at another level.

I put my hand on his back and asked silently "Are you going to die?" to which came the answer: "It is time." My thoughts raced with a series of follow-up questions: "Time for what? Time to live? Time to die? Time to dance?" I reminded myself to breathe. My impulse "to do" something shifted back to the consciousness "to be" with this moment. I recognized that to be a non-anxious presence was more important now than any action I might take. My inner guidance confirmed that his spirit was very much alive, but was no longer in his body. I felt his spiritual presence more strongly than I had earlier. My fearlessness of physical death and my previous experiences of observing the process of transition from physical to nonphysical anchored me in blessing the richness of this moment.

Words of encouragement and gentle touches came to this man on the floor from those in the inner circle; those in the outer circles bore witness to the event. Drawn together for entertainment in this intimate space, we found ourselves joined by the invisible web of human kindness with varied reflections and perspectives on life and death.

In the muted sounds of the club, I picked up odds and ends of information. Echoed through the room was the knowledge that no one present knew this man's name. Staff confirmed to each other that he was not drinking. A gold ring on his left hand announced he was married. In the absence of facts, I speculated on his circumstances. Perhaps he was an out-of-town business person unwilling to fight the Friday night outbound traffic at LAX. Perhaps he lived in Chicago or Boston, with a wife and children not expecting him home until sometime the next day. A staff member tapped me on the shoulder, bringing me out of my speculation, and signaled that I was to move aside for the police and paramedics. I slipped back into linear time and realized that, by the clock, their arrival was swift.

I moved to the outer circle, but not for long. The staff pointed me out to a police officer who asked for my identification. In my tiny purse I carried only my keys, my driver's license, and some cash. I learned from the early morning jogging club the importance of carrying identification when going out to walk or run, just in case...... Going to a bar or buying wine, of course, I carry my picture ID for that added hope that I will get carded. This current scenario was one that I had not imagined as reason to carry proof of identity.

I followed the police officer who carried my license in his hands. He was young, handsome, gentle, and empathetic. Unhurried, he copied the information from my card, asking me to confirm that each bit was still correct. Harvelle's staff also took my name and telephone number.

As the paramedics performed their duties, the patrons continued to keep a respectful vigil. Although I knew this man's body no longer held his spirit, the attendants kept massaging his heart as they carried him away. Perhaps they did not want to announce the finality to the Friday night crowd or perhaps they did not want to give up hope or perhaps they were following predetermined procedures.

When the band returned to make their sounds, I vacillated between staying and leaving. To stay and dance felt more honoring of the happenings; to leave too soon seemed to discount the evening's events. The crowd was expanded rather than diminished. I danced with John and waited until the end of the set to leave, about midnight. Outside the club, the bouncer (a 300 pound hunk) said he had something for me: three passes for my next visit to Harvelle's. I smiled at the graciousness in the hands that hold such physical strength. My only words "thank you" were transmitted through the wordless energy field of our shared experience.

Two Days Later, Sunday

While walking on Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade, I found myself face to face with a police officer handing me a candy cane. He noted my hesitancy to take the candy and said with gentle authority that I had to take it. I acquiesced with a playful smile that matched his, and offered a bargain: I would take it in exchange for some information. I told him that I was at Harvelle's on Friday. He stopped any need for further explanation when he revealed that he was on dispatch that night. I asked how I could make it known that I was available to speak with the man's wife or anyone else in the family, if they desired. I identified myself as the last one dancing with him, that my name and contact information were part of the police record.

Home for five minutes, the owner of Harvelle's telephoned to ask me to call the family. This nameless man and his wife, whom I had been carrying in my heart for two days, now had names: Jim and Victoria. Not from out of town, they lived locally. A friend handling phone calls told me Victoria would return my call the next day.

The Next Day, Monday

Victoria and I spoke for an hour by phone in a remarkable dialogue. She confirmed that she and Jim love/loved to dance. She kept correcting her language, changing references to Jim to the past tense rather than the present tense which had become so familiar in their 18-year marriage. Friday night Victoria had to work (she is an emergency room physician) so Jim went without her to scout Harvelle's for a future visit together. Their other dance buddies had planned to go with him, but in the end Jim went without anyone who knew him.

I shared with Victoria every detail I could recall from that night; she reciprocated by confirming information about Jim that I had intuited. Jim and Victoria had a son and daughter, ages 8 and 10. He had several physical conditions which prompted him to decide to dance to maintain his health. In addition, he created a contract with the Universe that he not live any part of his life as an invalid. He was active to the last moment. He was totally alive until he died.

I was touched by her words as she thanked me for being an angel for Jim and for holding a space of calmness during the event. It took a while following our conversation for me to synthesize all that we verbalized, though I was left with no doubt that Jim knew he was going to die that night.

I declined to attend Jim's memorial service on the next day because I had a client scheduled in a time slot that would make it impossible. Later when the client cancelled, I knew where I was supposed to be.

The Next Day, Tuesday

The synagogue was filled with those who loved and cherished Jim. They were not there in perfunctory attendance. Before I could spot someone I thought might be Victoria, a comely woman approached me, commenting that I was standing alone. I explained that I knew no one there, identifying myself as "the woman who was the last to dance with Jim." She embraced me warmly as she introduced herself as Jim's mother. A brief interchange indicated that Victoria had already conveyed much of our conversation. As I approached Victoria, pointed out by Jim's mother, our eyes meet and she asked "Are you Jeanie?"

At the memorial service, I heard stories of Jim's capacity to love, ability to inspire, and the expansiveness of his soul. I contemplated the enigma that he left this physical life in a place where nobody knew him on this earth plane. With so many close friends and family members, he chose strangers to be with him in the end of this life. I believe Jim would appreciate and even encourage us to speculate on this situation, a mystery that sweetens his memory.

Today

Jim's story has not ended simply because he no longer uses a body that is familiar to family and friends. He has touched many persons in his life and in his death: those he knew and those he did not know by name.

It was a special honor to be present, to be a witness to his passage, and to dance with Jim his last dance.
